I’m thinking they will look at the older workers and offer early retirement packages. Personally I feel Micron needs to cut out upper management. There is way more upper management positions than what is needed.

The power dynamics between engineers and management have become so lopsided under Sanjay's leadership that I doubt anybody M1 and above will be cut.
Upper management has already said early retirement packages are not going to happen.
it would be a possibly ideal situation if this were to happen. For those who are already 12-18 months away from pulling the trigger on that life decision - this could move forward their timeline. However - there are no indications the company will offer voluntary of any type at this point are there?
