Has anyone actually heard or have any solid evidence of anyone getting laid off?
Some experts in this group but not one person has atcually stated what departments or dates, regions or numbers as yet.
Seems to be a lot of childish cpmmenta on both sides but no real proof.
My department is doing pretty ok but always good to hear how things feel thrpughout the company.

I was notified 2 weeks ago that my position was cut. My group was responsible for over $400 million at 50+% margin. More than 100 laid off, less than 30 remain.
@2oqr+1kPlmTDk Sorry to hear they got you.
As I have said in previous posts it is easier to layoff in the US than it is in Europe.
A lot more laws in Europe around workers rights and packages.
I dont know your situation but hope all works out for you in the future.
To the HR professional. Thanks for sharing. So if only been with Dell you get one week severance? That is cruel.
I’m the one in HR that had a call yesterday. My last day is 2/10. 100 in HR impacted, 25 of them in Talent Acquisition. Severance is one week for each year of service, and help from an outside agency to find a job.
crickets!!!!!
Any updates from all these people that were supposed to learn more yesterday??
I was told late last week that I'm part of the workforce reduction. I am (was) in ISG ...storage development. So yes, it is real.
"Some experts in this group but not one person has atcually stated what departments or dates, regions or numbers as yet. "
So what does that tell you?
how did you manage that?
I was told by my mangers manger my manager is no longer at Dell.
all these cries but we seeing nothing on the ground.
Feels like these are the echos of laid-off past here.
I was told my my manager yesterday that my job is safe... wish everyone a safe journey next few days.
For all the doubters and people asking for proof, good lord, what do you expect us to do? Take screenshots of emails and record our Zoom meetings and post them?
Cuts are happening. It’s not one, big, across the board event - they’re rolling through end of Q4 and into Q1. Some orgs being hit more heavily than others.
um...today is Tuesday
If the TSRs/DCSE's are let go who will configure the servers and storage? The ISRs aren't trained for that and already have a huge workload.
What is tsr and dcse
I got a last minute all hands meeting for today Wednesday so I imagine that's org changes and layoffs
There were some cuts in my department last November. Under Lou Mabely’s org. Not performance related and they got their severance. Hopefully no more cuts.
I’m being told TSR/DCSE in ISG are going to get canned across all verticals
I’m in HR, and I got a calendar invitation for tomorrow entitled Organizational Change Update. About 90% sure I’m being laid off. Been with Dell 16 years.
did a 10 year old post this???
