This was a hard day. Wayfair fired many talented and brilliant leaders. This is a low blow and is a great and heavy loss which the company will never recover from. They fired people who embodied their ridiculous People Priciples culture. Many teanured leaders who have dedicated years to service to the company and have a very large network...gone. Many, many L2, L3, L4 and L5s, some teams entirely wiped out like engagement, leaders and agents forced to move to new departments. No one wants to work there anymore but leadership keeps talking about a recession and everyone is fearful which is why they stay. The magic of Wayfair is gone, the company culture has changed and is trash. The L1s morale is lower than I have ever seen... teams are now at 16+:1 ratio. There will be no recovering from this, Wayfair is over... gone. The L7+ has destroyed what it once was. More rumors of another layoff comong after the company is done paying out the severance benefits of this round. Get your resumes ready! Karma is coming.

16:1? Jeez, I wish! In service we're 20:1 now and expected to have the same results!
Anyone notice how deeply L4-L5s were impacted but L6s minimally and L7+ not at all
I have a good friend who was a product leader and was impacted by Friday's layoff. She had only been at Wayfair less than 1 year.
Wayfair let down too many loyal and good people. They broke many hearts.
Heart breaking
Dont let it fool you, this was strategic. Some people in power are paranoid to keep their position. Why not wipe out any and all real competition at once? Helps to secure their rein of te---r.
