I have lost my appetite. The company sent out new opportunity emails to the associates impacted. During this 10 minute meeting, all the impacted associates cameras and mics were turned off and two very happily smiling women told the associates that they will be offered a new job with details of the job and tentative pay or an offer for severance. They then closed the meeting. The associates were unable to ask any questions or state any concerns.

I am sure that meeting was hard for all, including those 2 people who had to present the information.
Technically, it was 6 minutes because they gave us 4 minutes to allow everyone to join. And you forgot the part where the email was sent at 5am PST and they expected us to attend at 6am. My team starts at 8:30 PST. Some teammates missed the meeting entirely.
Logical? Logical to who? Most of the employees were fired and given a severance package while others were removed from their corporate positions and placed in other areas forced to take $2+ pay cuts and cuts to benefits like PTO etc.
Everyone impacted on my team had an offer. But it made logical sense, wasn’t just a random offer.
do you know if all impacted associates and analysts would be reached out to with possible other opportunities or is it only for a chosen few? and what is the company's gameplan to help those impacted if any
