Several great friends were affected and are still recovering from the shock. The company lost great employees as well. I'm not sure who made the decision on who to lay off, but I can guarantee it was not based on performance. There is a lot of hurt going on right now and morale has never been this bad. It'll take a long time to recover from this.

He might require more RTO for corporate though. Field is a different beast.
I don't think he can force people to go back to the office. Mainly because they are closing sites left and right. They just announced the closing of my local site Springfield OR that opened 3 years ago. Effective February 5
Sounds like they laid off a lot of remote people with good performance. Wouldn't be surprised if Niraj pulled a Musk and forced everyone else to RTO 40 hrs a week.
