A years salary?? Not where I live…! Let’s dont look at EU as one country. Just a kind reminder to you buddy - we have different countries, different regulations within EU. And here’s a shocker - some of us actually work more than 8hrs a day.

@ckn+1kMBF2S Right, EU has to pay by law every single employee a years salary minimum while they continue to accrue PTO. And if any person is out on Paid Family Leave, that is an extremely protected class so you have to wait for the to come back, write a disertation on why that person's position is going away, and then maybe....maybe you can try it. But that comes after laying off all the other global people first that don't have such protections. And they do not work more than 8 hours a day...protections.
They've been riding the productivity backs of the US citizens for decades - the ones who work anyway.
Which teams? I heard services.
Many have been already communicated in several EU countries
No-one as yet. European laws are different and there has to be consultation before anything is communicated. Thank the EU for all the bureaucracy but also, the protection. We have until March to find out.
