This package will be better than the next several packages that will be for Q3 and Q4. The first one is always the biggest.
"So you are being required by to work for 60 days after being terminated? " no. you are just on the books as an employee for 60 days and get pay and benefits
I was RIFed in 2017 as part of a Services cut. The 60 day termination period did not require me to work. My email was cut after a week or so while I returned my laptop(s), and other items.
I have to admit that the severance was generous, I've heard of worse.
For those who were affected, remember that in the grand scheme of things, things work out for the better and have faith in yourself, and tomorrow will be better than today!
Tech companies competing for benefits first now competing for severance packages. "Industry leading severance" hahah

U.S.-benefit-eligible employees will receive a variety of benefits, including above-market severance pay, continuing healthcare coverage for six months, continued vesting of stock awards for six months, career transition services, and 60 days' notice prior to termination, regardless of whether such notice is legally required.
Benefits for employees outside the U.S. will align with the employment laws in each country.
