let me lay out facts:
a. layoffs can be any date. Does not need to fall under any company and/or Myan calendar.
b. preferably not on Mondays or Fridays and before noon is the golden rule.
c. big layoffs usually are preceded with an announcement. This is for legal reasons both local and regional.
d. company X did layoffs does NOT mean company Y will do it

ISG restructuring has started today. Right now the affected folks are getting an opportunity to find a new home in Dell, by the end of the month. If not, they’ll be laid off. I’m one of them, so I think my info is pretty reliable. If anyone has information about the separation package being offered I’ll be very interested to know. It’s probably the standard one, but it would be good to verify it.
