From what I can see it seems that mostly older folks were let go from Nielsen in this round of layoffs. Comment if you were let go an younger than 45. Seems older people were targeted.

In my immediate area of production and operations for my line of business the only layoffs I've heard of so far are female.... I have not confirmed or verified any males that were laid off
I only know of one person less than 30 laid off. Everyone else, including me, is over 50
plus experience and knowledge. let them go so we can pay bonuses for those in charge!
3 out o 4 from my team were over 59. The other was 30ish.
Layoff criteria:
too new
too much pay
For AU, I've seen a full spectrum and everything in between, from those that were young and at Nielsen for less than a year to those who have been here 20+ years to everything in between.
Depending on who was making the decision would impact how they approached it and whether their target was $$$ or headcount for example.
I was not let go but two people in their 30s I work with were. However, the majority of people I know who were laid off were there 15+ years so that might be a factor in the ages
I don't think that's true. I've seen mostly new people had to leave.
One factor may be indeed that you are "overpaid". By the same judgement I think the whole C-level is overpaid and should be fired and their bonuses should br divided amongst employees.
no older people (and i am one) were laid off in my dept.
I don't think they'd target older people. I think they targeted people who have higher salaries and older people tend to have higher salaries.
