I take it it must be the 25th now for the dreaded email or call?Me thinks some people are telling tall tales and its all paranoia.
Maybe I may have missed the call this round?

if they're taking work from you and giving it to someone else, then you should worry.
@1xcl+1kKcPkCp
Pretty much the same as you.
Strange.
Its funny you mention this. My manager in our last two 1:1s has been very jovial, not discussing work, talking about real-life and not the business etc. which is very different from normal. Either its because its quietened down because of year end and has nothing to talk about or he is just being super nice to me before I go...
Sure I'm guessing, but based on last few rounds of layoffs I've seen there are lot of similarities. Long standing hiring freezes, reorgs/splitting teams, greatly reducing opex, management being completely silent, etc. Just saying in this climate I'd be surprised if Dell had no layoffs.
it means they're guessing
What do you mean moving toward a layoff
There have been plenty of people trying to defend Dell, and I don't think anyone would be that obsessed with an ex employer, especially Dell, to do what you are saying. I'm a current employee and have noticed that my org seems to be moving towards a layoff, just don't really know when.
@dip+1kKcPkCp Why do you think they are ex employees and not current?
no one is defending Dell.
we are just pointing out that the predictions here is complete rubbish.
I suspect it's a few laid off employees who haven't moved on yet. Dell is not going to hire you back. Move on.
Weird seeing so many people on here trying to defend Dell saying there are absolutely no layoffs coming. They cut people all the time and with the way the tech sector currently looks this one could be big.
My group in ISG still have new hire joining soon. no one knows what to expect next week
My group is hiring in 2023, just waiting for new fiscal year and that came from a senior director
replying to your own posts?
Keep on repeating it will eventually make it true?
What type of mo--n do you have to be seeing EVERY tech company announce cuts, and actually think DELL (and you) are exempt from this?
100% if your on here asking, your going to miss your IBP. Low performers are the first to go.
