Now they are hiring for a lot of the positions they laid off last year—feel bad for the new comers, since they will be paid less than the people they laid off . Jobs that required college degrees are now equivalent experience lol. They will be so underpaid but they will have fun drinking and going to conferences, just won’t be able to pay their personal bills.

Not much has changed. They keep automating and offshoring which in turn lowers standards and pay for internal employees. You don't need a college degree when 80% of your job consists of sending out boilerplate contracts to authors and contractors.

I told my manager I had a MBA in a one on one and she asked "What is a MBA?" I quickly moved on.
