Thread regarding ALDI layoffs

Why is real estate going national but buying isn’t? The corp take over is mostly remote anyways.

I wish they would just hurry up and give us the dates already. I don’t want to make a lateral move into ops and I’m not moving to IL. I’m feeling crazy because I have to pretend like what I do matters when the layoffs are coming. It doesn’t make sense why they can’t make these jobs remote or at hotel offices. real estate is doing that!

They remodeled the offices so people can use the location as a hotel offices buuut departments are getting laid off and you can only work in IL?? Make it make sense. The position requires 2 days in office and we don’t even utilize the offices.

Bat is going to be the first division going live in July. Are they laying off corp buyers? All the ahead videos are so vague and tone deaf, as there is no mention of all the divisions getting laid off and centralized in IL. But I love how they mention everyone is still apart of the team. There’s even a count down on the site that shows this is happening in July but we still have a 2023-2025 time frame.

Yeah, it doesn't make any sense. The divisions have undergone million dollar renovations, only to layoff people in the office....why? BAT and LOX are a mess. Its been a year and a half since the announcement....and we are in the time period of the layoff, but no update has been communicated. I think the Corp office owes their employees an update, as a professional courtesy.

It's just a sad situation all around.
I guess time will tell. For anyone not believing that Aldi is laying office staff off, give the Batavia Illinois division a call and see for yourself. Best of luck to those who are hanging on till the end.
