Thread regarding Nielsen layoffs

Next Round of Layoffs Comes “around 4/1”.

Was told today now that next level has been announced, they will move down to smaller dept restructuring and review. This has to be completed by early March. Next round of layoffs will occur at Director level and down in April 2023.

This is reinstatement of rank and yank layoffs. Performance reviews are due in Feb-Mar followed by the layoffs.

Layoffs usually happen in several waves. It's not a "one and done" event. Middle management is next. Just watch.

I don’t see why they would slash again so soon, especially after reorganizing entire departments. We’re done in my department.

My EVP told us they’re finished with the layoffs for my department.

Do you have any more details on this or who this information was relayed to? Due to things that happened yesterday I’m worried this will affect my team.

Sorry to see what's going on again at Nielsen. I survived the prior private equity takeover in 2006 and the following years of te---r under the likes of Habib and Calhoun and co. Watched them run off with their millions and on to their next target. Sad days in America.
