I know there's no way around it but the wait is ki----g me. I'm starting to feel as if their goal is to get us to up and quit on our own because we can't take the pressure and stress of pending cuts. I'm ashamed to admit that it might be working because I've started applying even though I had no intention of leaving before all this started.

So that is there idea. They are making things difficult so people up and quit voluntarily and they dont have to provide severance packages for involutary reduction.
Nah they ain't giving you your unvested stocks bruh
Does anyone know if all the unvested restricted stocks we may have been given (promotion without pay increase) will be taken from us? Or will they be mildly decent and allow our grants to continue to vest despite being laid off? :(
Unless you are a high performer they of course want you to quit. Your manager and colleagues might want to keep you, but upper management just wants as many resignations as possible so they can minimize costs related to layoffs, including possible severance. That's why they aren't doing voluntary retirement. The upper level leaders do not care if the long timeframe is causing people stress.
Depends on what type of position you are in and projects you are working on. If you're a recruiter or something it's a smart idea to start applying
