I saw a news story about our beloved execs in IT from UBS, B&V and how close they are. They arrive to work together, go to lunch together, walk the halls together and leave work together. They are always together, it is very weird. I used to think there were a couple.

You mean Paul’s amazement of their performance during the past few years and his genuine appreciation for all that they’ve done weren’t enough to keep them at the firm? I don’t believe it or one single second. Those kudos go a long, long way towards building morale and paying one’s bills.
And the UBS crew will not accept they are the reasons that good people are leaving ..
more resignations in IT, three of the best engineers and smart people I looked up to resigned. they all were sick of working on systems outages at all hours over nights and weekends. the UBS crew continuing to run good people out of the firm.
There has been some RIF activity in HR
They sent an email today in the New Accounts Department that there is new organizational changes coming soon. Yep its about to happen this year.
Technology is a revolving door, so this is being done to save the firm money with all the people resigning.
I actually don’t agree with that being the reason they changed the vacation payout language. They have been losing people left and right via resignations and prob don’t want to have to pay out anymore. Not necessarily a hint at layoffs in 2024.
Tinfoil hat time. I did notice they have updated the vacation policy to say "we will no longer payout vacation time when you separate from RJ (except in applicable states)." This change goes into effect in 2024. If they were to have a reduction in workforce then it would most likely be next year so they don't have to payout a big amount of vacation time to employees.
There’s no evidence. There’s no proof.
