Ofcourse there would be layoffs. What would Emerson do with so many NI employees to sustain just a few products they would really care about.
It is better to leave on our own terms before they lay people off.
NI has a very nice campus in Austin....not sure about Emerson Austin, just seems to be a building?
Trust me it won’t be good for the employees of Emerson takes over. Lal needs to clean up the mess at Emerson before he does anything
Probably some high profile exits of late are due to acquisition bids. The news says ni wanted a 'private' negotiation with emerson. Ceo is trying to get a good deal for himself, lol.
It is Emerson. They are attempting a hostile takeover for 7B. In the news yesterday
It seems emerson is the one that is making the offer. Need to see what they would continue to invest in. I hope they stop investing in labview.
Yeah, even i feel that depends on who acquires. There are so many products releasing every now and then without any features to speak of. Those might get impacted.
Wont the low cost geographies be the ones remaining?
I feel it depends a lot on who acquires it. Where do they have offices or branches and all that.
Any clue on potential buyers?
All those low cost geographies and several useless roles would probably be the first to go.
