Well Lowe’s, after twenty years, 15 as a full timer and 5 as a part timer, I’m moving on. The company, or maybe just my store has cut hours to maybe 4 a week. Some weeks zero. I’ve worked in every department, I get leads and credit cards. I downstock. Now, you have lazy people working full time and doing nothing. Corporate greed. Good luck. Basically, warm bodies that don’t care that make $20 is what you want and sc--w everyone else.

you were there when they eliminated commission. you were there when they eliminated department managers to save salary and you are now tied of it?? HAHA i was laid off in 2017. Since then I moved up and on. So much more away from Lowe's. Its a horrible job
My store is shifting hours from floor departments to keep cashiers on schedule which of course, means fewer Red Vests in the aisles.
This year seems to be the worst for hours being cut. Used to be part timers were supposed to get no less then 10 hours per week. Melvin did away with this, and now it’s zero. Also, some stores have way too many full timers, and they are given priority. A few in my store have gotten zero hours for weeks now and departments are let unstaffed.
If you’ve been there that long, you’d know they do this every winter. I left a year ago for good finally. I started in 2008
Lowes being led by Sears and JC Penny leadership. The only aspect of retailing they understand is cutting costs and how to structure their own compensation plan to make themselves and their families set financially for generations. Keep that in mind and stop working so hard for these vomit inducing pieces of bile.
Lowes lays off ever year around this time It’s usually part time…. Then they ramp up for spring time and rehire
You are the last of the dinosaurs at Lowes in a good way, nobody cares now. I left after 9 years back in May of 2021 and saw how fast the company went downhill. Life is too short to work for a company that constantly takes away. Let them hire someone else that doesn't know jack sh!t and figure out good old Genesis.
