There is a lot of debate here whether layoffs are around the corner or not. I don't know, but I notice that there is more anxiety than ever. If you're a job seeker, perhaps the best advice is to keep looking.

my job is very safe
I’m in sales and do the job of two, inside and outside sales. I make 115k and outside sales make 150k+…. I still don’t feel safe.

Thats the scary thing but the more you earn the more your at risk.

If all the big boys are shedding numbers what makes anyone think Dell are immune?
Based on my salary, performance, and productivity combined with the need for what I do I feel secure. I certainly think people could be let go from my group but I’d guess they start with the higher earners who seem to do nothing.
