Thread regarding ADP layoffs

For those laid off for making too much

I am curious because I see this a lot in comments.

Of those who were laid off for making too much. How much did you make and what was your role and location?

I am curious to understand because there are many comments about this with no context about new people being hired at a third the compensation etc. many new hires come on making at least 40k for the most basic jobs indicating someone else was laid off as a service rep level 1 making 120k with 20 or 30 years experience.

Many of these said employees arent worth the time and effort to be terminated. They are delusional, mentally ill, ungrateful and just lazy. They are the typical "CSR" who thinks they should be making $50K per year. Laughable at best.

None of the laid off were underpaid. Likely they were WAY overpaid and produced little hence the ax falling across their necks. Do your job or be canned!!

Avoid! Avoid! avoid! this place is a sweat shop with substandard wages!

Everyone that has left, has found the "other side" pays more, provides meaningful work and. most important of all, makes them feel appreciated and valued.

You don't know until you try...good luck and god bless

I was at the top of ADPs pay scale for a Senior Project Manager...and felt vulnerable.

So, I left ADP and payroll alltogether for a higher paying market with work that is more pleasant.

@joho+1kEe8Z1d Dont forget the tax breaks ADP gets to hire in locations like Maitland Fl. That is infinitely more relevant than skills and experience. Attendance is irrelevant too

Your question is misleading. Service level 1 would not pay that much. How much someone makes depends on many factors, among them, what they do, how well they do it, how long they have have worked for ADP, and their perceived future value to ADP. So, while you are right that 40 times 3 equals 120, people estimate and sometimes lie. Also, new hires are in demand. They bring in new skills and are needed to replace those already booted or about to be. The point was that experienced employees can be replaced with new hires earning much less. Time will tell if that decision was good or bad.

Not a whole lot of people jumping in to share because they likely know they were overpaid for their position / duties

I was hired at 40K 23 years ago in the midwest to support an HRIS product. At that time a college degree was required but I don’t think it is anymore.
