George Carlin: "they just want obedient workers" - Sad, but true.
From the prior Citrix ELT perspective, that mission was accomplished. During the last decade as the company slipped farther and farther into the abyss, employees chose to stay. Nothing motivates obedience more than fear of the unknown (changing jobs).

Wake up.
Isn’t it just a wee bit odd for remaining Citrix/CSG employees to cheer and applause Krause’s LI post? Are they lacking the EQ to understand the wrongness of publicly expressing this the same day as 50% of their dear so called ”Citrix family” have been axed? Or is this simply a desperate brownnosing act trying to influence that they can keep their jobs (Hint: that won’t help) ? Or are they just, pardon my french, stupid enough to actually believe that the PE (via TK) is doing this all to build a grand new Tech Powerhouse that will drive ”huge customer value” for decades to come, that they are now fortunate enough to be part of? Anyone with Psychology merits, please feel free to share your thoughts.
I know many are grieving their lost jobs and are worried about the future. This is fully understandable, especially taking into consideration the current jobmarket.
However, those who remain in customer facing/sales positions within this organisation better have a plan to not ever again work with the customers they will look after here, once they’ve been tasked to implement the coming CSG playbook. Customers will not forget and not forgive what’s about to hit them.
Take my word for this.
'To the individuals who were impacted, I want to personally thank you for your contributions to Citrix and TIBCO'. - Narcissistic pr--k! As if that means anything to anyone. You have to build relationships with people before this stuff just sounds hollow.
'Please know that these decisions were not taken lightly. Rather, they were practical business decisions designed to strengthen the combined companies.' - Still talking to us like we are 6 year olds! We know this, but there is the right way to do this and the wrong way. It's a global company with many different legalities and cultures involved. It never looked like you got this and you looked like a small minded amateur.
'As a leader, these are the toughest types of decisions to make. But our actions yesterday set us up for growth in the future.' - Don't make me laugh!! A leader, not from what I have seen. Leaders like you would be going over the top all by yourself. Good luck to you up there TK I got a feeling you are going to need it you money grabbing sc-m bag

TK DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOU.
Yes, any company needs to make money to be viable, but making money and taking care of your employees are not mutually exclusive ideas.
TK DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOU.
“ two great legacy companies” - kinda says it all.
Unfortunately, TK has stated previously he has a low appreciation for marketing investment. So, moving him beyond his cash flow focus is going to be tough.
For those left who have to face customers with a smile on our faces, the dude needs to do something besides spewing a $500M annual improvement in cash flow. That means reveal how we'll make money, and do something to make us WANT to sell our products. A lot of people passionate about the company that once was have been just deflated. Customers have to see it. TK obviously doesn't and if he does, he doesn't care.
I mean... support as far as I can tell wasn't cut, so that could be viewed as "investing more in" lol... :(
High on spin, Low on substance. Some points are not credible, given the cuts.
Example: "Investing more in support to improve customer satisfaction."
"It's not personal, Sonny, it's strictly business."
