Thread regarding Citrix Systems Inc. layoffs

Are they planning to overload survivors even more?

If their big idea is to overload survivors even more after these layoffs, then I would rather be laid off. My manager seems to be already giving indications that we will have more work to do. In that case, I think that layoffs will be followed by greater attrition.

What I see here are a few jealous people who probably got laid off and have no options because THEY were the unskilled ones. Now they come back here trying to put down those of us who are still at Citrix, who are waiting things out until the economy and job market improves...

The outlook for CSG now seems grim and unclear. While the recent TK public commentary is his attempt to apologize for the impact on employees and customers, it's very light on substance regarding how the remaining BUs will be able to remain solvent and survive.

Fact: It's impossible for TK to cut his way out of this cash-crunch situation. Layoffs create a temporary reprieve, nothing more. How likely is it that the CSG financial solvency challenges will improve in 6-months? Therefore, business continuity is very volatile, particularly in the absence of a viable plan to stabilize ongoing operations.

Imagine being so worthless in the marketplace that you HAVE to work here because you have no other options. That is so sad - and really bad career planning.

"Survivor" is not a term for not getting laid off. One thing this site has proved is that Citrix has a number of useless whiners (like all companies.) It doesn't matter because the Citrix BU is not long for this world - and when Krause sells it, almost everyone will be fired except for a few key product people.

So survivor is an exclusive term for combat veterans now is it? Thank you for your service, but i can see why you are one of those left behind! Now get off the layoff and crack on with the extra workload left behind.

Survivors? From the perspective of a combat vet, you people are ridiculous. It’s a job. If you lose it, you get another. Mo--ns

Uh, yeah. For those who weren’t fortunate to get a separation package, it will be he-l.

Don't mourn for those who are gone, mourn for those who are left.
