How large is the current layoff? Is there any way to know?

I get it, but it's just morbid curiosity to ask about the total number. Besides, nobody is going to know outside of a upper-level manager.
Contractors don't get laid off, their contract just ends. No severance, no back pay, etc. That's the beauty of contracting people. No benefits, etc.

So why are you here?

Seems like it will impact hundreds of employees across the globe. We should have a better assessment once the day is over. I wonder if there are any contractors left over and if they're being counted.
