In response to the allegations regarding students entering South University: There is no such thing as allowing students into South University without a high school diploma. If there is any question by the Academic Team, that the high school that the student attended could have been a "diploma mill" or "illegitimate high school", the student will be denied admission and we have to suggest they take a GED. It can be difficult to suggest when a student has gone to a community college before applying to South University, because surprisingly they are much more lax about the high schools and they often approve illegitimate high schools that we will not consider. The students are understandably upset at this but South University does genuinely follow by the rules regarding proof of graduation requirements.

In response to the comment regarding the inbound "warm calls": These calls are a nuisance and are consisting of nearly all confused people that aren't looking to enroll in school or are looking for programs that are not related to what we offer. It is a massive waste of time and can be incredibly stressful when you are working with a student or in the middle of something and you have to keep stopping real productivity to answer them. The executives think these are the best tools to boost call strategies but the reality is they are bogging down the teams and causing more important tasks to go by the wayside. It seems that more micromanagement is on the way as they try to overwhelm admissions with these calls and also with new CRM systems that require extra steps to ensure they monitor every task that is done.

The majority of "students" admitted to South can barely read and write. There is talk that some didn't even graduate high school. But faculty are expected to pass them. It is shocking that the school still has accreditation. What does that say about SACSCOC?

"Inbound calls, leads are a nightmare. Marketing companies send over "students" who have no interest in school and think they're being transferred over to a job recruiter. While this is normal, to at least some extent, MAN... not like this. It's embarrassing and constantly being harped at to get available for these 90% garbage leads takes away from properly taking care of any current students who really DO deserve your time and attention. (Also, horrible for employee morale... everyone's nervous about getting barked at for not being available, even when they're doing something important and beneficial for a student who IS a good fit and SERIOUS about school.)"
