In areas where there are borrow outs or cost of living is high .California Portland Oregon etc. Attendance points aren't even considered. I heard employees working with 60 80 Attendance points while in san Antonio 28 and your in investigation. Fawk this company

Every place has their own (version) of the sick time policy and each place dictates how strict they follow (their version) I asked for a copy of our specific shop sick time policy and was given a generic RR attendance policy from like 1998. That’s because our attendance policy is made up but not in writing. First person at my shop to ever challenge it in court will win no doubt. What a joke
Nope no manager here .going on 20 years here .just rumors from people coming back from borrow outs saying the attendance policy is a joke in areas where they can't hire people to work. Fawk management.
Your posting doesn’t make any sense. You must be a manager.
Don’t know, don’t care. I am too busy worrying about my situation to wonder about how other areas are handling their business.
How do y'all CA folks even live off Railroad pay in those areas???????
That's a hard question to answer. I think a lot of it depends on who's in charge, or if the local management even cares. The employment issues are system wide from everything I've heard. The management at the location I used to work at, is staying very quiet right now. My former co-workers that decided to stay have said that the management is under close watch right now. I'm not sure why that is, but just looking at some of the comments on here does paint a decent picture of the current woes. My opinion is that the management pushed too far this time, and now they're doing whatever they can to correct it to avoid a meltdown that will probably ki-l their jobs! That's just my opinion anyways.
What I mean is places where they are having a hard time hiring people. Attendance points aren't enforced
