Thread regarding CVS layoffs

recent layoff in DDAT org

I understand that a colleague or team member from Aetna Digital was terminated from their job last week. I am trying to confirm whether this was an isolated incident or part of a larger, ongoing cycle of layoffs at the company

@g1
They merged legacy Aetna IT with CVS IT. There are people who were given cover back in 2023 to 2024 who were Aetna business some with no IT skills whatsoever, until DDAT figured out how to manage the products.
Once the VPs in Aetna were let go beginning 2 years ago, their directs and teams under them moved under DDAT if they so much had an SQL DB in their daily work. The lists were very long. Hundreds of people.

In Aetna Health, as far as I know so far: From product 1 executive directory at least 4 other people in product. And 1 architect. My guess is there are more I don't know of

Really hush hush this round. It has to be more than Product Managers. Aetna was very bloated with senior people who only did one thing.

I heard a rumor that DDAT laid off 60 product managers recently.
