My SMM is on a plane to help a store with a corporate visit next week? Black Friday??? Hospitality at its best????

stores in my area are being told to not overspend on hours. I was going to work some OT but apparently not, even with a giant truck this week

Notified today that we're cutting selling hours at our furniture gallery. Like, immediate schedule changes effective this week, with no notice. Nothing says Christmas like cutting hours in the midst of the Black Friday promotion. As for Spring doing store visits on Black Friday, that's a distraction to the business on a day when all the focus should be on the customers. IMO

I heard Tony is visiting some stores in NJ on Black Friday and there was a big corporate visit recently in VA where they were flying a bunch of Visual and Merchandise managers down to fix up the store. Nice to see Macy’s is flush with cash when it needs to be. eyeroll

There are store visits nearly all year long usually only very brief windows where stores across the company do not receive visits
