I might not have liked all of Dan’s message but at least it was spoken plainly and honestly. What is really annoying and a little disturbing is that a lot of our leaders now seem to operate like politicians. They ignore anything negative or challenging and only look to talk about the positives. This is totally insulting to employees intelligence and emphasises the gulf between senior leaders with what is happening on the front line

Why is OP posting virtually the same post on multiple threads?
The key to success here is that if you're a leader, you ALWAYS manage UP! You don't ever look down at the people who work for you. The company's leadership culture prioritizes 'managing up' over 'managing down.' Leaders tend to focus on providing their superiors with agreeable information, even if it's inaccurate, while often overlooking the feedback, concerns, and improvement suggestions from their own teams.
@am Chuck...right on but add Yahoo and GO90...GO90 was supposed to top youtube...now tell me where that went. I know there are more ventures bought but these are some high priced purchases. No heads rolled after these blunders, only riffs to the unsuspecting.
Cause they all are Actors in the verizon realm. They lie and blame the lower management in order to make themselves look good. That is the verizon way.You hear me now
Hans was a mo--n. Nothing ever happens to there execs that make D-MB decisions like buying AOL or Blue Jeans (really, BlueJeans?). They should be the ones to go, but it wont. It will be the people that do the work...
It began with Hans and the leaders under him followed like little puppy dogs. We have leaders who don't have the b*lls to have their own opinion that may differ from the Swedish meatball and not spew word salad to avoid difficult topics. Hopefully Dan realizes this and hires leaders who can actually achieve results.
