Permian Lease Operations to be fully outsourced

Team of the usual suspects working on a plan to fully outsource Permian operations. Similar to Guyana SBM Model. Being close to the wellhead to be safe was never true. Timeline for change is unclear. Those in operations will be offered to switch over to third party service provider as was done previously with groups like IT and GREF with the associated cut in pay and benefits.

Smart move. This gets rid of company union and replaces with employees/service companies we can hold accountable by removing them from the site (effectively they get fired or moved to a competitors site). Less benefits burden although we bear a profit element for the contractor, but their labor is cheaper and overtime after 40 vs overtime after 8. Plus they hire undiverse but highly efficient crews, so efficiency of the crew is high. Guyana is now contract. Plus this allows us to get rid of a lot of HR overhead, labor law and payroll and pension accounting/costs. Good move.

Yes you will see home depot day laborers working in the plants and fields. I can't wait till they have trained monkeys working. We already have a bunch of monkeys in management leading the company.

They will have a hard time getting anyone to work in the Permian for low pay since there are tons of good paying jobs.

Where did you hear or see this?

If the company wanted to save money they would get rid of all the useless safety people and probably half of the management.
