In Dallas, Texas IBM laid off the entire Cloud Platform Team (i.e., developers, software engineers, etc.), including the manager.

@a9 IBMC is less than 2% market share, and is at least three years behind all other cloud providers. I could go on for days about the design flaws in the implementation, but would risk NDA violations. Suffice to say, even if they caught up with AWS it would be an inferior offering.
IBM will exit the Cloud business sooner than later as it is not a major player. IBM strategy has been to partner with AWS mostly and other Cloud providers who are the leaders.
@a2 and the AI Quantum team will have even worse results in a shorter span of time. That's IBM Mediocrity for you. Then you move the jobs to India, and in one month there is no more AI Quantum that anyone recognizes any more.
Why not? What is the IBM Cloud? Barely a 2% market share or less?
IBM will replace the Cloud platform team with the AI Quantum team.
