Hi,
I'm a reporter for The Register. I've heard from a source about a round of layoffs expected this week. If anyone can confirm this confidentially, please feel free to get in touch: tclaburn (at) theregister (dot) com

The entire design and research technical leadership at IBM was laid off in the past year, including this round. They are being replaced by college graduates who are learning on the job. This has impacted product market fit and ease of use, resulting in IBM releasing products that are bundled with very little client engagement.
Execs they dumped were nailed in October last day was Halloween. Now November is massacre worker bees. The clowns can't even sustain business never mind grow it so Kavanaugh and his troll army play excel games to "meet" targets
Yes, true, huge layoff. Sales enablement losing > 100. Seems like mostly US and Canada. So far everyone I know has had > 15 years; lots of 25+ years. Entire teams plus 1st line managers. I haven't heard of any 2nd line yet, but who is left for them to manage?
i have friends at ibm that said to me they got laid off today so idk
Best way to know when layoffs are imminent at IBM is to check the month that you're in. If it's a month with a vowel in the name, layoffs are imminent.
Pretty sure we are gonna see a switch back to Ra this week ...
IBM has moved from layoffs, RA resource action in IBM speak, to PIPs performance improvement plans which is a slimy way to lay people off without severance etc by giving them 90 days to do a long list of tasks Superman could not do. I have seen some sales teams of 15 have 1/2 of their people on PIPs.
