New Paramount Skydance Senior Management (DE/JS) made a big stink of saying that they want to be one and done. The next thing we know this has now turned into another round of 1,000 layoffs. Maybe the next cycle is a focus on International, maybe it something else. It would truly be wonderful if the Senior Leadership of this company could enlighten us a bit since they were the ones that put the "one and done" out there. Don't really want to have to be thinking about this 24/7 as we approach the holidays. Maybe someone can tell the new Head of PSKY Human Resources to truly do the "human" thing and provide some guidance here. They set the expectations on this in August, not us. And now here we are again...

@tp the wave in December is international though right? My bosses under GC seem to think the layoffs last week were the last ones for a while
Dec 2nd with Dec 5th as last day.
DE was told he couldn’t do the full cuts on 29/10 so they split them. There is another wave in December. This was also referenced in a news article where PSD did provide comments. Phase 2 is also going to be Jan.
London is a big hub. There are 100s of staff across FTA/cable networks, streaming, theatrical/TV distribution/licensing, CBS News, etc. Severance process for each terminated employee. More laborious process than in the US.
They will want to finalize and clean up any leftover changes from the layoffs last week. Based on the fact that they just sold Telefe in Argentina, closed some international CBS News operations. Would assume that's a preview for significant changes on the international side.
Stay frosty.
@b2 They will cut Int’l people before that.
There are still many international cuts to come.
It will be after phase 2 of RTO. They will see who remains and judge what they need to continue from there.
I only know of a June 26 wave that is very sizable. I am thinking that is the next big one.
Hopefully its after January if at all there is another round. So that we are eligible for STIP bonus for this year
One of the articles that went out last week mentioned that the next round would focus on international. It was like one sentence at the bottom of the article.
i've been hearing the 12/2 date here but can anyone confirm and why would they do this again a month later and not all at once ...
I heads 12/2
