@kh you seem mad bro?
"Leadership " knows people are miserable, but they will continue to make life miserable for their employees to quit...as it's cheaper than having to pay unemployment and severance. RTO and lack of enough seats, lack of parking, SMART goals, etc are all part of the strategy and true Ford+ plan. I do think layoffs eventually happen, but Ford is trying to shake the loose apples off the tree first. I suspect given how horrific the job market is, it is taking Ford longer than expected to get people to quit.
I said that once at a former employer, and got a layoff notice. I wasn't smart enough to have something lined up to go to. As it turned out, someone else quit, so I got a reprieve but I knew where I was in the pecking order. Be careful of what you wish for.
Ford is having challenges hiring people. Yes they are. I know plenty of people that are willing to take their chances any day now. Personal timing has to be right, but they have a career path in mind. Get ready for many people to leave automotive. The desperate ones that cannot trust themselves to win will be the ones that stay...and the ones that enjoy the stress that comes with working at Ford - or any American automaker for that matter. Go ahead...hire H1-B's and outsource the work...we'll keep buying Toyota. Ford will only hurt itself. Not sure how things are at Toyota or Honda, but I'm sure they are more merit based and reasonable. Maybe that's why they build a better product, I don't know. Sure as he-l don't have to be back and forth to a dealership for stuff that was supposed to be fixed last time. Although maybe a good career option would be to go into service tech for Ford because it always breaks and consistently never lives up to quality standards. This is why the techs stay busy.
@kh no kidding some people roast this company on here, the emotional attachment is sickening…
Grow a pair and quit if you are so unhappy!
I can only imagine what a drag you are on everyone's energy that you come in contact with.
Do everyone a massive emotional uplift and be a hero. Take the next step for you, your family, your friends, your relatives, your coworkers and the company, just quit!
Wish you the best!
Actually no, no it won't...
You want a package to get out? HR strategy is working to get you out without a package.
@dj Detroit auto industry as we know it today is on the verge of collapse, mark my words you will see going down rapidly in coming year
With the amount of stress that this is causing for everyone its just a matter of time before someone gets so sc--wed up in the head that they show up to work and shoot up the place, I wouldn't be surprised if it eventually comes up on the news. Its sad that it has gotten to this point but hey there is greener grass on the other side.
Try to find a job in this job market, then you will say I love this company 😆
My co-worker posted this topic. I was laid off and he stayed. Welcome to Ford!
@b4 Many stopped working years ago, now their in the c-suite.
Engineer your layoff. Work stoppage is inadequate. You must anger your LL5/LL4. Find their buttons and push them and you will get a package to leave.
When you hate the company you should quit instead of painfully waiting to be laid off.
You are a mo--n if you are waiting to be laid off. If you have common sense quit and leave you id--t.
You wish will be granted this week
just stop coming to work, it will be automatic
