Another day, another acquisition

BlackLine is a good company. Solid products that they have expanded out over the years. The SOLEX agreement for SAP has been beneficial for both...fills a gap that SAP needed (reconciliations, intercompany), and BlackLine got access to the SAP client base.

However - if SAP buys BlackLIne, it will be ruined. Because Solution Mgmt in WDF is going to say "well...we can do this and that better...so we'll just push the SAP solution and let the BL solution die." Happens with all of their acquisitions. If they were smart (they are not), they would treat it like Oracle treated Hyperion - separate division, give them freedom. But SAP will ruin it.

For all the Blackline stock I bought when it was cheap, I sure hope so!

@ht No he will not.

SAP tried to fire him several times, but no one dared to tell him. Now, however, everybody was so fed up with his lousy jokes that they chucked his behind out of the campus. Even he can overstay his welcome.

The board gets paid tons of money. Surely they will get this right?
