Thread regarding EPAM Systems Inc. layoffs

EPAM Systems 2025 Layoffs

In 2025, EPAM Systems is reportedly undergoing silent layoffs, with many employees on the bench being asked to leave due to a lack of long-term projects. Most available projects last only a few months (2, 3, or 6 months), after which employees are again placed on the bench and must prepare for interviews to get assigned to new work. This cycle of short-term projects and frequent bench periods has become a regular pattern within the organization.

If the mgmt had more skills and charisma, we'd stand a chat. as long as these clowns run the show things will continue to deteriorate. just ask people around you, are they happy?

A persistnt challenge for EPAM is the lingering perception among some U.S. clients that it operates as a “body shop,” focused mainly on staffing rather than strategy or innovation....
EPAM's Boston office is known for its strong + supportive management that emphasizes open communication, mentorship, and long-term employee growth. The leadership makes an environment where emplyees feel valued and heard... clear guidance and consistent feedback that supports both prof and personal dev. EPAM offers abundant opportunities to make meaningful contributions through high-impact projects and cross-functional roles that allow employees to see the tangible results of their work and influence real business outcomes.... Upskilling is in EPAM’s culture, with resources such as training programs, certs + conference opportunities designed to keep employees skilled.

...this outdated view can sometimes cause clients to undervalue the company’s strategic contributions, requiring employees to consistently demonstrate thought leadership, technical excellence, and measurable results to reshape this perception.
