Dan Schulman sure put himself out there. Verizon must cut Billions out of the company and streamline the way we do things to fund a complete and total makeover of the company. He states that layoffs will be part of the coming change. He then states that he is only in his 22nd day as CEO and that by his 44th day most of his transformative plans will be unveiled and even executed. If you take him at his word, the next three weeks will peel back the layers of the onion and we are in for one he-l of a ride. Are you as excited to be part of it as Dan says he is?

Right the ship? Where has Dan been for the past 6 years? What was he telling Hans while he was a member of the board, approving all of Hans’s disastrous “strategies?” And this changing the culture to a “customer first” culture? Has he not read the Credo? Or, actually, when did people stop caring about the customers? Cmon people wake up! The place has been a mess since Marni didn’t get the CEO job after Lowell. And they put the meatball in place.
You know, I’d admire his whole “right the ship” message a lot more if he hadn’t spent the better part of the last decade as the head of the board of directors.
So you’ve got a guy who oversaw this company’s declining market share, complacency, and poor leadership get… rewarded with a CEO position?
If he believes in what he’s saying now, what the he-l has he been doing for the past handful of years?
I am impressed with the new CEO. He was honest, self deprecating and is going to make the changes he announced. He did not sugar coat any of his words. I think we are all on notice to get things in orders , which we should be doing anyway in this economy ..This company was put into the ground by Hans and his rah rah crew of puppets. I hope he starts slashing at the top and goes from there..things seem very quiet which tells me the quiet before the storm. People need to wake up- I see sooo much waste and many people not working on in office days..dunno. Cheers to all..
I mean...I might be excited about "the ride" if I knew I was on it as opposed to on the tracks in front of it.
Chuds in this thread lapping this guy's BS up explains a lot of things I didn't quite understand about USA
If he can flatten the stupidly fu--ing tall org chart I'll actually have hope for this company. Upper management's full of d-mbasses. Lower's fine where I am.
Agree but for me needs to cut SVP, VP, Dr Director bloating and base on meritocracy vs DEI.
Do that and guy is a winner
About f*cking time someone in this company had the courage to tell us exactly wth is going on... all of our C-Suite have been puppet politicians since I started here... this guy is the real deal and the first one I actually believe in. I swear, he was telling us that he is about to layoff a ton of us and all I could think was "this guy is the real deal, I want to hang out with him and learn from him... let me hang out at your Montana ranch and teah me karate." And I am being dead serious when I say that. I am here for it and even if I get cut, I respect the he11 out of him. HE is someone I would work my butt off for... forget al those other muppets.
