Dan was head of the board of directors while we were losing market share. He nodded yes on all of it and let Hans run us into the ground. Tony was the CFO during this too. But we pay them millions now to fix what they caused haha. Only Verizon could be this stupid. Dan should have been thrown off the BOD and Tony should have been fired.

Skiadas can’t even organize his own team. How is it that call center agents in the Philippines report to him, but FPAS doesn’t and reports to Shankar? The team that build the reports and forecast models doesn’t report to the cfo. Does anyone think this makes sense at all? People joke that it’s created Noah’s ark because there’s 2 of every role - 1 in finance and 1 in fpas.
Just remember Lowell and CFO Fran Shammo laughed at the pink shirt T Mobile CEO John Ledger who trolled Vz and AT&T as “D-mb &D-mber”
I'm not sure folks know how board service works, but they don't get all the operating details and problems and aren't involved in the day to day. They mainly evaluate three things:
1) CEO Performance
2) Strategic initiatives and funding
3) Governance and Partnerships
Dan probably didn't have any operating knowledge and was just given a readout by Hans and Tony.
Tony, frankly, is a great CFO after Matt, who was astounding, given what he had to work with.
I think Dan is a no-nonsense or fluff kinda jump in CEO, and will really be keenly trying to determine if anyone at the top is able to lead a company. He'll eliminate some of the fat at the top and start to laser focus and align teams, or remove the leaders that get in the way, which has sorely not been done. His excoriating of the past five years is also a direct rebuke of prior execution under Hans. Kinda refreshing frankly.
Tony making big decisions except for location strategy and rational pay raises. He got his 20% raise last year and a $4M bonus package this year. That’s only 50 band 7s they have to let go to afford it.
Exactly. Dan and Skiadas loved the price increases - they got us into this mess - while leadership laughing at TMobile. And look at us now
