Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

AI tools and innovation

with the latest AI tools, people can develop a payments application in 10 minutes...
How do they explain having so many people in the office 24 x7 , and supporting old terrible products for years. any logical explanation?

They block all these AI tools from office laptops!

@a7 at an AI app presentation the team was crowd sourcing what to do next because the person in charge didn't know how it really worked. We just uhhhhhh just plug your query in the API or use neural network taken off the Internet. Do some gpt you are a fu--ing hardcore technologist n winning now. Fu--ing apex of humanity. This was probably the most intelligent dedicated groundbreaking team at Fiserv ever.

They have ascended to the true AI mastery. As part of the company I am truly proud of the company of Fiserv as the most company of finance technology company. Amen Jesus God bless happy diwali friends.

@OP maybe because they fired everyone who actually knew how it worked and you have to know how it works to convert it?

@a5 lol the management's idea of AI is probably a magic box on the internet that somehow pops the answers. Given the way management here is, it's bassically a bunch of Finance guys pretending to know software development, I doubt they'd go that far to replace workforce. Aitrium is the best they have and that speaks volumes.

Homie, they're forcing us to do 3 AI training modules in the hopes to streamline work. I see it in this way: using AI to eliminate jobs (customer services, merchant services, redundant positions in credit Risk, etc).

It's coming. Management has been pushing this when FB was still CEO.
