Thread regarding Teradata Corp. layoffs

Wake up and smell the coffee. Mgmt hired to execute downsize plan over time.

No propaganda here. Observe and decide for yourself.

Transformation continues. Engineering would have been gutted much sooner to hire service oriented workforce but existing systems, customers, and lack of timely execution and progress for service product required slower pace to avoid panic by engineering staff, customers, and all.

Current mgmt is incompent and not driving long term product business. They are executing a business plan. How else would one explain all of the bonehead layoff decisions?

All existing legacy core product workers will be laid off at some point soon. You can try to play their game but slim chance. Good luck.

The ELT wasted 1.5 billion dollars on companies that amounted to nothing. Next came several years of make believe transformations. Now comes the Glint survey again. In the last one O.R. promised to fix the leadership problems. He got canned. The new ELT promises to read every single one. This is much easier than trying to increase revenue. This is the one thing the ELT cannot do.
