Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

iGPU Nvidia IP vs in house

Is there a future for the integrated GPU IP team? Is there a plan to use Nvidia IP to replace in house iGPU IP down the line?
How risky is it to be in GPU org after Nvidia partnership?

Data center is the only group that will save GPU. Client GPU will stagnate and Nvidia will start to come down the client product lines.

I get everyone is excited over Nvidia's investment that they have already made what, 75% on? But, while there is cool tech coming, this is nothing new to Intel.
They have collaborated with competitors in the past - specifically on graphics.

Their iGPU is not going away. They will need something to embed into the silicon for mobile programs. Will they go after top tier? Probably not. More then likely they will continue to serve the iGPU and low to mid end gaming market.

It’s too risky … can’t you see lot of PEs are leaving GPU group. Intel is on path of cpu only company.
