I heard yesterday from a colleague that every January your reliability automatically resets to 100 percent. Is that true?

No. Reliability is 13 weeks rolling which means each week the week at the top rolls off and is replaced by the most recent week at the bottom.
As long as you use the tools available, reliability shouldn’t be an issue. Input your availability, show up for work on time and dispute what needs to be disputed and you’ll stay in the green. Macy’s has one of the most lenient attendance policies of any corporation.
