Perhaps, I'm emotionally immature or just not used to toxic work culture.
Fido manager seem to dump last min work items on you and react in a way they own you.
And worse part, they let someone who fricking can't even understand anything remotely technical to present your hard work.
In what way is this healthy??? They make you do all the dirty work while someone less deserving steals all the credit with no appreciation for your slogging.
For those who whine could you share if you're not from the biggest democracy? From what I observe in Tech this anti-WLB practice directly correlates to ethnicity. They simply don't treat themselves and others as humans.
I’m in a role now where I was told there overtime but not about the impossible levels of work that must get done within impossible time frames. Won’t be too specific. But I feel you. Have no life because of it. Depressing.

Even when you're working FOR someone, there's a fine line when someone asks you for a favor and they sound demanding vs empathetic..
Majority of Fido managers lack people skills, they cater to teacher's pets, people who are good at a-s kissing, showing onto the calls just to make an attendance, without saying single line.
These are the kind of individual who unfortunately get praised while the actual hard workers gets to do more work.
I'd also be wary about who you express these frustrations to, Fido word travels fast so if your manager listens to what you have said to a colleague or former teammate, you're pretty much blacklisted for as long as you're under them.
Pass go, collect your paycheck and go through another round of kissing a-s until you pass go again. As long as you work for someone else this is pretty typical stuff to deal with as being an adult.
