What's the Next Move for Sears?

Another busy black Friday shopping season for Sears is almost near. With the possibility of big possible sales this holiday season, do you think this is the time that Sears will bounce back? Could they potentially turn a profit and become profitable again to the point where they open more stores?

Would the executive who proclaimed were in the home warranty business also be an officer in the US military?
Would he also go around announcing himself as the leader.
Is he the narcissist egomaniac who keeps making horrible videos proclaiming how good things are. Then demand that everyone watch his videos.
I'm just asking for a friend.

A certain executive recently proclaimed,
“We’re in the Home Warranty Business!”

The vision: Sears’ future is monthly income in perpetuity from Sears Protect Home Warranty Sales. All managed by AI. No more stores, technicians, or employees. Just free money from customers paying for a warranty…that Sears has no intention of honoring.

@hf you seem very hurt. Are you that redditor, who use to be an Electronics Lead? The one who was shocked that Kmart stopped selling those garbage out dated Electronics and movies? The one who doesn't understand margin?

@gg+1k8a6pty1 That's correct! They got rid of underperforming stores and have less than a dozen to go. I heard they made over $500 in profits last year. Way to go Sears!!!

Transformco will continue to be just fine. They are a profitable company. They became profitable by closing underperforming business units, selling strong brands, and firing people like all of you that could not perform well enough to keep the stores profitable.

Rumor is Sears is buying Walmart and Amazon and plans to merge them under the Sears brand.

Nope.Thats not the game plan. They are in business only for the NOLs,Net Operating Losses.
Where tax deductions exceed income.
Sears is not here to make money anymore.
They are succeeding by failing. And are pretty good at it.
