Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Remember how every year we were always…

Ranked in the top 5 of employers in all the major magazines? That sh-t was all over circuit…posters…guess they aren’t publishing those numbers any more. Andy is rolling in his grave. Took a little time, but I found something in two months, better pay, normal work hours. No more 9pm task forces 7 days a week. 6am factory passdown, that you then go have to repeat in 4 other meetings before noon. Go to work, do my job, and go home. At Intel work-life balance just means If Intel isn’t your entire life, you don’t get to work there.

So fu--ing sad.

Total BS post. Now that stock is up, ratings are going up and hiring line has started. It is all about $$ and stock.

Andy can roll in his grave all he wants, but that will not erase the history of his starting the company down this exact path. Most everything wrong with the company originated with his aaa-whole approach .. some good things, but a LOT of bad. Intel mainly succeeded despite Grove, not because of him.

Nothing says -bad company to work for- more than a company on a “Top Company To Work For” list.

P.S. nothing says Polluter more than a corporate environmental awareness media campaign.

I hate to break it to you but corporations PAY to be ranked in the top major magazines. None of it is real. You are just starting to realize your personal level of indoctrination. The only reality you will find in this world is that you will always work harder and they will continue to get richer.

@a8
I can't even count the number of times I watched someone more intelligent write a DOE collect and reproduce data that clearly made improvements to the process, propose these changes in a module presentation that saved time and $$$$$$ only to get undermined by the nepotism and good old boys who control the module. Then I watched as somebody else in that module picked up the DOE a year later and proceeded to implement it as his own work. Meanwhile the guy who did all the original work was laid off shortly after complaining this was his work. This company is rotting from the inside and the people in control are part of the rot.

After you worked hard and got good results, a bunch of id--ts came for re-org, took your work and claim they did it. Hard working people are ripped off in Intel.

Intel is a mini-world without virtue and justice, it is a small evil world.
