If you reside in California, you can apply for unemployment as of Nov. 10, 2022. CA considers our last day of work Nov. 9 as they don't count WARN notices or severance.

Good advice. Part of your paycheck deductions pay into the unemployment benefits from the state — there’s NO shame in applying and receiving your money back for that.
