Do we know how the selection was made? who made the call and how much our direct mgmt influenced the process?

It's about money not performance. All about cutting the higher paid people or the ones costing more money.
No rhyme or reason I’ve seen unless you’ve had a previous relationship with SP at Cablevision for marketing, you have your head up PPs a-s, you’ve done something to help a VP get promoted, or you’re an Indian employee whom they take advantage of and make them work ridiculous hours.
Last year, VPs were given a number they needed to cut, then worked with their Director level to choose who stayed and who went. This time, VPs were given lists of names with no input, including some high performers.
I was laid off last year and my manager told me that she was not part of the selection process. I trust her but you never know.
