I expect there to be announcements of layoffs every 2 weeks for a while until the company take over by Citi is announced. The pattern that's being established is layoffs, let the dust settle, tell everyone to shut up and not talk about it, wait a few days, then repeat.

To all employees,

As part of Stifel's ongoing strategic review to ensure the long-term sustainability and continued growth of our company, we are implementing a restructuring plan aimed at increasing overall efficiency. This has led to the difficult decision to reduce our workforce.
In the first quarter of next year, approximately 400 positions across several departments will be eliminated. Impacted areas include IT, Banking, New Accounts, and Help Desk, with a focus on managerial roles.

Separately, as part of our strategic agreement with Equitable, we will be transitioning the remaining 120 independent advisors in SIA this year.
We understand that this is a challenging and uncertain time for everyone. We want to be clear that these actions are based on business needs and are not a reflection of individual performance or contributions. We are committed to treating all departing employees with respect and providing support during this transition.
Human Resources will be reaching out to all affected employees with information regarding.
