Thread regarding Paramount Global layoffs

Can’t wait to not visit this site on a daily basis

Corporate overlords have succeeded in driving us crazy, in various ways and levels. And this site hasn’t helped (it’s still a useful site, but again too many of us have been driven crazy). The d-mb Slack theories are really the tipping point for me.

I haven't worked there in 10yrs and still come here to check in. The only surprise is that the workforce never adapted. Seems to have become weaker

It speaks volumes of how bad our leadership is that we have to constantly check an anon message board to read theories from people claiming to be in HR.

Despite the trolling, there are more pros than cons to coming here. This site has helped me navigate layoffs at P+ and the previous company I worked for. When the employers refuse to be honest and transparent about their plans with such an important part of our lives, namely our jobs and careers, this website has been a life saver. I hope MAGA doesn’t take it down.

I totally get why this board can feel overwhelming for some, especially right now. But the fact is, most updates and insights tend to land here well before any official word goes out.

Sure, there’s some trolling and noise - that’s the internet, but in times like these, it really comes down to knowing how to sift through it quickly to find what actually matters.

IMHO, might even be worth keeping it bookmarked - whatever comes next, and wherever you end up tomorrow, chances are this will still be the first place to get informed.

No one’s forcing you to go on this site.
