Thread regarding NCR Corp. layoffs

Healthcare costs going up

Just saw email taking about the changes upcoming during enrollment period. Atleos mentions about the “staggering increases in healthcare” requiring an increase of rates.

That’s now a double whammy as they took away the benefit of being healthy (non smoking, sugar levels, etc) providing a discount on healthcare per pay period. Smokers actually benefited the most cause their rates came down!

Add that to worsening 401k company match, things keep going in reverse.

At my new job the healthcare is better, but the 401k match is not as good as it was at NCR 2 years ago. No biggie, found a place that is better.

They keep taking away benefits, can you remember anything in the past 10 years they gave you, or something that got better while working for either NCR companies?

I can say since I was RIF, my Dental is now free with better coverage than I had working, govt free healthcare is good enough, prescriptions cost, but it’s really not that bad compare to the deductions from my pay check.
Can claim healthcare bills on my taxes as well.

The NCR company’s really don’t look after their employees, it’s not a good place to work if you have other options and are young, my advise would be move on, this ship is sinking.

Just the bad side effect of “down sizing”. Fewer folks in the plan, means less discount from provider aka increase in rates.
Better to just call it a day, take your things and go home. That’s what they want anyways.
