I can understand why people want this to be over with as soon as possible. However, I have to admit I appreciate being given some time to prepare for the worst. While it's not much, this period has allowed me to get into a better mental position, update my resume, and reach out to old contacts...small things like that. And there's another week to take advantage of. I'd take that over having the rug pulled out from under me at any time.

@f0 The morality sailed a long time ago for this new bunch that took over this forsaken enterprise.
I could use a break as well. But the job market is so bad. Been applying for 3 months and no luck.
@ek Agree. It's disgusting that they are hiring while giving current staff the boot. Grossly immoral
@ek Finding cheaper replacements for the RTO phase 1 severance optins?
@OP Glad you are better mentally but most people I know aren’t. Morale has been terrible, especially in the last few weeks. People are very stressed and upset since we don’t who stays or who goes and it’s right before the holidays. Besides that, Paramount is hiring a ton of people. There are listings galore on Linked In yet they claim they need to layoff thousands and f people. It’s a bad look.
I’ve had enough of lead time to land a new job. I’ll be double dipping for as long as possible.
Yeah I don’t know. I’ve been able to get some health appointments out of the way but I’m ready for it to be over whatever happens. I’m exhausted on so many levels and it’s hurting my health.
Shut the he-l up
@OP I dunno… personally, I rather have them rip the Band-Aid off. Living with this underlying sense of anxiety for several weeks/months takes more of a toll on me.
