"Amazon plans to cut 15% of workforce" - really? That's their title? Do they have any idea how many people that would be? They'd do anything just to get clicks these days. If somebody didn't know this was referring to the human resources department, it would have given them a mini heart attack.

Probably less need for recruiters since AI means less junior hires needed as AI replaces them.
It's really simple. To boost financials, layoff junior IC's and managers, most of HR, Ads, Stores, Twitch, and other gimmick groups. A more complicated solution: split Amazon. RTO5 apparently didn't work well enough.
What's wrong with the headline? It's direct. And anyone who knows math can calculate that it's 50000+ employees. Heart attack? Layoffs happen all the time.
